Bible Verses About Heaven

12 July 2025 · 2 min read · Verse Collections

Heaven is the Christian's great hope — the promise of a future with God where every sorrow ends. For anyone grieving, weary, or longing for home, the Bible's words about heaven bring deep comfort. Here are Bible verses about heaven.

A place prepared for you

Jesus spoke of heaven as a real home he's personally preparing: 'In my Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you.' Heaven is not a vague idea but a place made ready by Christ for those he loves.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
John 14:2, KJV

No more tears

The most comforting promise about heaven is what will be absent: 'God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.' Every grief will be gone, wiped away by God's own hand.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:4, KJV

All things made new

Heaven is not less real than this life, but more — a renewed creation: 'Behold, I make all things new.' God will restore and renew everything, undoing all that sin and death have spoiled.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Revelation 21:5, KJV

Life beyond death

For those who trust Jesus, death is not the end but a doorway: 'I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.' Heaven is the sure hope of life beyond the grave.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:25, KJV

For heaven, the Bible promises a place prepared by Christ, a world with no more tears or pain, all things made new, and life beyond death for those who trust him. Whatever you're carrying today, heaven is the assurance that the best is yet to come. For the grieving, the weary, and the longing, these verses hold the greatest hope: home is waiting, and it is more wonderful than we can imagine.
