Advent Bible verses — readings for the season of waiting
Advent is the church's season of waiting — four weeks of remembering the centuries Israel longed for the Messiah, and of readying our own hearts for his coming. These readings walk the season's arc: the promises, the preparation, and the arrival — each verse exact King James Version, with a gentle note.
Read one section a week with a candle lit, or work through them slowly each morning. Every verse links into its full chapter.
