The mountains of Ararat are where Noah's ark finally came to rest as the flood waters receded. From there Noah, his family, and the animals stepped out into a cleansed world to begin again.
Ararat marks a new beginning after judgment — the place where God's covenant of mercy, sealed by the rainbow, was set over a fresh start for creation.
Mount Ararat in Scripture
And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
