Two carries the idea of witness and partnership. Scripture requires a matter to be established by two or three witnesses, Jesus sent his disciples out two by two, and Ecclesiastes says two are better than one.
Two reminds us that we are not meant to walk alone — that companionship strengthens, and that truth is confirmed and burdens shared when we go together.
