The Morning Psalm
7-day reading plan

Strength for the Weary

A 7-day plan for when you're running on empty — Scripture on the strength God gives to those who have none left.

Part of Verse Collections

  1. Day 1 / 7

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
    Isaiah 40:31, KJV

You don't have to dig deeper into an empty tank. Strength is renewed as you wait on the LORD — received, not squeezed out of yourself.

  2. Day 2 / 7

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
    Isaiah 40:29, KJV

God's help is aimed precisely at the depleted — the faint, those with no might. Feeling like you have nothing left isn't a barrier to His strength; it's the doorway to it.

  3. Day 3 / 7

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
    Matthew 11:28, KJV

The invitation is for the labouring and heavy laden. You don't have to earn rest by finishing everything — come as you are and receive it.

  4. Day 4 / 7

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
    2 Corinthians 12:9, KJV

At the very end of your strength is where God's grace proves sufficient. His power shows up most clearly in your weakness.

  5. Day 5 / 7

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
    Philippians 4:13, KJV

Whatever today asks of you, you don't face it on your own reserves — but through Christ who strengthens you from a source that never runs dry.

  6. Day 6 / 7

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped
    Psalm 28:7, KJV

God is both your strength for what you must do and your shield from what comes at you. You face the day with His resources at your back.

  7. Day 7 / 7

The joy of the LORD is your strength.
    Nehemiah 8:10, KJV

Your strength today isn't your circumstances or your mood — it's the joy of the LORD, a settled gladness in Him that holds when everything else wobbles.
