The Armour of God
A 7-day walk through Ephesians 6 — dressing for the real battle, one piece of armour at a time.
Part of Verse Collections
Day 1 / 7
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11, KJV The command is to put on the whole armour — not a piece or two. This week you will dress deliberately. Today, simply notice: the battle is real, and God has not sent you into it unequipped.
Day 2 / 7
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Ephesians 6:14, KJV The belt of truth holds everything else in place, and the breastplate of righteousness guards the heart. Live today without pretence, and let Christ's righteousness — not your record — cover your chest.
Day 3 / 7
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:15, KJV Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: readiness to move, grounded in peace with God. Walk into every room today as someone whose deepest conflict is already settled.
Day 4 / 7
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Ephesians 6:16, KJV Above all, the shield of faith — quenching all the fiery darts. Not some: all. When the accusations and fears fly today, raise trust in God's character like a shield.
Day 5 / 7
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Ephesians 6:17, KJV The helmet guards the mind with salvation's certainty, and the sword — the word of God — is the armour's only weapon. Jesus fought temptation with 'It is written.' Arm yourself with a verse today.
Day 6 / 7
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Ephesians 6:18, KJV After the armour, the posture: praying always. Prayer is how armour is worn — supplication for yourself, perseverance for all saints. Fight today's battles on your knees first.
Day 7 / 7
For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
Isaiah 59:17, KJV The armour is God's own — he wears righteousness as a breastplate and salvation as a helmet. You are not imitating equipment; you are being dressed in his. Stand, therefore, and stand firm.
