Corinth was a wealthy, immoral port city where Paul planted a church and stayed for over a year. The believers there struggled with division and worldliness, prompting Paul's letters — including the famous chapter on love.

Corinth reminds us that God works with imperfect churches, and that even to a messy congregation he can address some of Scripture's most beautiful truths.
