Micah's name is a question that answers itself — who is like the LORD? He prophesied against injustice and empty religion, and gave one of Scripture's most quoted summaries of what God requires: to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.
Seven centuries before the event, Micah named the Messiah's birthplace: but thou, Bethlehem Ephratah... out of thee shall he come forth that is to be ruler in Israel. When the wise men asked where Christ should be born, the scribes quoted Micah.
Micah is a gentle, popular unisex-leaning name — soft in sound, strong in meaning.
