Bible Verses for Peace of Mind

When our minds race with worry and won't rest, we long for peace. The Bible offers a peace that doesn't depend on our circumstances changing first — a peace that guards the heart and mind. Here are Bible verses for peace of mind.
Perfect peace
The secret to a settled mind is where we fix it: 'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' Perfect peace is promised to the mind that keeps returning to God in trust.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Peace that guards your heart
When we bring our worries to God, his peace stands guard: 'the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' It's a calm that doesn't add up by human logic, guarding our minds like a garrison.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
A peace the world can't give
Jesus offers a peace unlike anything the world provides: 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled.' His peace holds even when circumstances don't.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Rest for the weary mind
When your mind is exhausted, Jesus invites: 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' He offers rest not just for the body but for the weary, anxious soul.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
For peace of mind, the Bible teaches us to keep our minds stayed on God, to turn our worries into prayer and let his peace guard our hearts, to receive a peace the world can't give, and to bring our weary minds to Jesus for rest. In an anxious world, this peace is available — not by fixing every circumstance, but by fixing our minds on God. Turn to him, and let his peace, which passes understanding, keep your heart.
