Some seasons carry a heaviness that's hard to name or shake. The Bible doesn't rush past low feelings or shame them — it sits with them honestly, and points steadily to the God who lifts.
He is near the low
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart
When you feel low, God is not far off waiting for you to cheer up. He is nigh — nearest, in fact, to the broken-hearted. Your low is where He draws close.
He lifts you out
he brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock
David knew the pit and the miry clay — that stuck, sinking feeling. And he knew God as the One who brought him up and set his feet on solid rock. The pit is not the end of your story.
Morning comes
weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
The night of weeping is real, and it can feel endless. But Scripture frames it as a night — with a morning on the way. Joy comes. Hold on for it.
If today is heavy, be gentle with yourself, and let God be gentle with you. He is near, He lifts, and morning is coming.
