Breakfast on the shore
By Niall Florence · 10 September 2026 · 1 min read
Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
After the resurrection — and after Peter's denial — Jesus stood on a beach at dawn with bread and fish on a fire and said: come and dine. His first agenda with failures was feeding them.
There would be a restoring conversation for Peter, but it came after breakfast. Grace tends practical needs before it addresses spiritual ones; the Lord of glory handles both.
Whatever your recent failures, the invitation this morning is not an interrogation. It is come and dine. Restoration usually starts at his table.
