First things first

Jesus does not hand out a ranked list of forty priorities. He gives one: seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness — and lets everything else be added in its wake.

First is a scheduling word. It shows up in real mornings: what gets your earliest attention, your freshest energy, your first yes. The kingdom does not demand all your hours; it asks for the front of the line.

Put first things first today and watch how the rest arranges itself. The adding, Jesus says, is his department.
