In every thing give thanks
By Niall Florence · 10 August 2026 · 1 min read
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Paul's instruction is precise: in every thing give thanks. Not for every thing — Scripture never asks you to call evil good — but in it, because God remains good inside every circumstance.
Thanksgiving is how faith keeps its footing. It finds the mercies that hardship hides: the friend who called, the strength that came, the morning that arrived anyway.
Try it concretely today: in the thing you would least choose, find one thing to thank him for. This, Paul says, is the will of God for you — a life that gratitude keeps soft.
