Paul asks a searching question: do you despise the riches of his goodness, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Kindness, it turns out, is God's favourite instrument of change.
We expect thunder to turn us around. More often it is patience — the mercy that keeps arriving despite us — that finally melts what fear only hardened.
Let his goodness do its leading today. Every kindness you have received was pointing somewhere: home.
