Bible Verses About Heaven
Scripture on the Father's house — no more tears, prepared places, and the hope that outlasts everything.
Heaven is not a vague brightness; Scripture speaks of a prepared place, a Father's house, a city, a wiping away of every tear. These verses lift the eyes to where the story is going.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
The Father's house, the prepared place, the promised return.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
No more death, sorrow, crying, or pain — the former things passed away.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
The tent folded, the eternal house standing ready.
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Our citizenship — our conversation — is in heaven already.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Eye hath not seen — what God hath prepared exceeds imagining.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
No night there; the Lord God is the light.
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Treasure moved ahead of you, where nothing corrupts.
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
An inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, reserved in heaven for you.
Heaven is not escapism; it is orientation. Live today with your treasure sent ahead and your heart already partly home — the place is prepared, and so is the welcome.
