Scripture for the working life — diligence, integrity, and labour done as unto the Lord.
Most of life happens at work, and God does not look away while it does. The Bible dignifies honest labour, warns the idle, and gives every worker a better audience than the boss.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
The great reframe: whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
Diligence noticed: the skilled worker stands before kings.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

The apostolic work ethic, stated bluntly.
He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.
The tiller of land is satisfied; the chaser of vanity is not.
Your work matters to God — the seen parts and the unseen. Do today's portion heartily, as to the Lord, and let him keep the accounts.
