Scripture on open hands to the needy — lending to the LORD, and remembering the least.
Scripture returns again and again to the poor, and ties our treatment of them to our love for God. To give to the needy, it says, is to lend to the LORD himself. These verses are for a life with open hands.
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Every kindness to the needy is a loan to the God who repays. Look for the least, open your hand wide, and let your faith show itself in bread as well as words.
