Bible Verses About Trust

Learning to lean on God when you cannot see the way — Scripture on trusting the Lord.

Trust is faith with its feet on the ground. It is the daily choice to lean your weight on God — especially when you cannot trace what he is doing.

These verses invite you to let go of the need to understand everything, and to rest in the One who does.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3:5–6, KJV

Perhaps the best-loved verse on trust in all of Scripture.

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Psalm 56:3, KJV
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jeremiah 17:7, KJV
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Psalm 37:5, KJV
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nahum 1:7, KJV
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8, KJV
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 26:3, KJV

Trust grows the way a path is worn — one step at a time. Each time you lean on God and find him faithful, it becomes a little easier to lean again.
