For the weight of debt — wisdom, provision, and a way toward freedom.
Debt is a heavy and often lonely burden. This prayer is for the climb out — for wisdom to manage, discipline to change, and God's provision along the way.
The prayer
Father, the weight of this debt follows me into every quiet moment. I am tired of the worry and the shame. I bring the whole balance sheet to you.
Give me wisdom to make a plan and discipline to keep it — to spend less, to be honest about the numbers, to resist the quick fixes that dig the hole deeper.
Provide what I need, and open honest ways to earn and to repay. Guard me from panic and from despair; this is a mountain, but you move mountains.
Teach me contentment along the way, so I do not rebuild what you help me tear down. Lead me, step by step, into freedom. Amen.
