A Prayer for Students
For those in study — wisdom, diligence, calm in exams, and worth beyond grades.
Study asks a lot of a young person — focus, resilience, and a sense of worth that survives the marking. This prayer is for students of any age, and the parents praying them through.
The prayer
Father, I bring you this season of study — the learning, the pressure, the exams, and the doubts that come with them.
You give wisdom liberally to those who ask; I ask now. Give a clear mind, a good memory, and diligence to do the work that is mine to do.
Calm the exam-day nerves and quiet the fear of failure. Remind me that a grade measures a moment, never a person, and never my worth to you.
Help me work heartily and rest properly, trusting the outcome to you. Whatever the results, let me know I am loved beyond them. Amen.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God — study prayed-through is study carried lighter. Work hard, rest well, and leave the results with him.
