Father, thank you for this life — for another year of it, with all it held: the gifts I noticed and the hundreds I didn't.
You saw all my days before any of them began. Thank you that not one of them, however crooked it felt, fell outside your keeping.
Bless the year ahead. Fill it with your presence first, and with health, good work, deep friendship, and reasons to laugh.
Teach me to number my days and make them count — and let this year hold more of you than any year before it. Amen.
