A Prayer Before a Big Decision
For the crossroads moment — clarity, peace, and a will made willing.
Big decisions have a way of shrinking sleep and enlarging fears. This prayer is for the crossroads — pray it before the choice, and as often as the wobble returns.
The prayer
Father, you see this decision from the end, and I see it only from here. I bring it to you before I bring it anywhere else.
Make my will honest: not asking you to bless what I have already chosen, but truly willing to take either road. That is the hardest part; work it in me.
Guide me with your eye, as you promised. Speak through your word, through wise counsel, through open and shut doors — and give me peace as the confirmation.
And once the choice is made, keep me from endless second-guessing. You direct the steps of those who commit their way. I commit mine now. Amen.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go — the promise for every crossroads. Decide prayed-up, then walk peacefully.
