A Prayer for Someone Who Is Sick

The prayer
Father, I bring you the one I love who is suffering. You know their body better than any scan; you knit it together.
Be their healer. Work through medicine and rest and every good gift you have placed in human hands — and beyond all of it, work your own quiet mending.
Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is fear, bring your peace that passes understanding. Let them feel accompanied in the small hours.
And hold me too, Lord, as I watch and wait. Give me strength to serve them gladly, and faith to keep placing them in your hands. Amen.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
