Acts 4:12 Meaning — No Other Name

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12 is one of the clearest statements in the Bible about the uniqueness of Jesus.

Peter spoke it boldly before the very authorities who had crucified Jesus. His claim is exclusive and deliberate: salvation is found in Christ alone, in no other name. This is not narrow-mindedness but the announcement of a rescue that has only one rescuer.

The word must matters — whereby we must be saved. It is not one option among many but the way God has provided. However unfashionable such exclusivity sounds, the good news inside it is that there is a sure and certain name to call on, and it is offered to all: Jesus.
